Smoky new wood, sour cherry, small, very ripe plum. The palate is softly grounded, develops a fine-grained, quite dense tannin, the acidity remains almost mild and is seamlessly merged with the body, which is quite robust for a Portugieser. The finish is noticeably salty and chalky.
