The red wine Furioso, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut MAD has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc from the region Leithaberg in Austria.
Dark ruby with an opaque core and purple reflections. Delicate tobacco, ripe plum fruit, a hint of blackberry confit, candied orange zest, nougat, and oak. Complex, with a fine chocolate touch, black cherries, fruity sweetness, and well integrated, ripe tannins. It has good, stimulating freshness, length, and certain ageing potential. Already well developed.
