Strongly rooted - and a little crazy, as the name suggests - the Mad winery has been in operation for over 235 years and is now in its eighth generation. The work of the extended family in Oggau, rooted in one of the most beautiful wine-growing regions in the world between Leithaberg and Lake Neusiedl, has always been characterised by slightly crazy visions and their implementation. They are future-oriented, but without forgetting tradition and old craftsmanship. The focus is always on quality.
Sebastian and Tobias Siess took over the winery with around 34 hectares in 2018 and are working with great commitment and the support of the entire family towards their goal of producing wines with character and depth, wines that tell the story of the climate, the soil and the people who produce them. The brothers are convinced that a great wine is alive, changes and must mature.
