The red wine Meisterwerk, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Markus Iro has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Zweigelt, Merlot from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections and a delicate brightening rim. Fine cassis notes on the nose, with a background of oak savoury toasty aromas, some Amarena cherries, cloves and minerality. A complex palate, elegant with well integrated acidity, fine tannin and nougat on the finish, black cherries in the aftertaste. Shows good development with ageing potential.
