The red wine Meisterwerk, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Markus Iro has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Zweigelt, Cabernet Franc from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Deep dark ruby garnet with an opaque core, purple reflections and delicate edge brightening. A fine herbal savouriness to the nose, with ripe plums, some figs and a woody savouriness. Complex and chocolaty on the palate with subtle hints of cardamom, well-integrated tannins and a long-lasting salty finish. A multi-faceted food companion which has good development potential.
