The orange wine »Orange« trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Martin Schwarz has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Grauburgunder, Traminer, Müller-Thurgau, Weißburgunder from the region Saxony in Germany.
Light orange in the glass. The very clear and precise aroma mixes flavours of blood orange and apricot with savoury components of black pepper and basil. With contact with the air, "stony" flavours also emerge. The palate structure opens soft and supple, mildly acidic, and then develops a powerful, ripe, somewhat dry tannin. Needs something to get going: Salty tones emerge on the third day.
