Tasting Notes
Elderberry and elderberry conserve, wild raspberry and blackberry, gentle wood spice. Grip on the palate, firm, powerful texture and fine tart fruit. The tannins have the right bite and maturity, chalky mineral underpinning. An asset at the table.
More about the tastingDark berries on the nose with a hint of butter and chocolate. It's powerful and slightly sweet on the palate, with firm tannins, and alcohol that is quite vivid, but is pushed into the background by the texture and sweetness. The acidity feels firm. Could do with a little time to harmonise.
