The sekt Pinot Cuvée Extra Brut, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Nelles has been rated in 2025 by Peter Moser, Benjamin Herzog, Dominik Vombach, Ulrich Sautter, Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler, Gerhild Burkard, Romana Echensperger with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Spätburgunder, Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder from the region Ahr in Germany.
Light golden in colour. Bready notes on the nose, yeast and Pinot berry flavours. The palate has a lively acidity, a mild mousse and a finish characterised by a subtle phenolics tartness. A finely matured, yet still exciting sparkling wine.
