The white wine EdesheimeChardonnay, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Oberhofer has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Very savoury on the nose initially, with notes of liquorice, fennel and dried meadow herbs, then with air, more tropical aromas rise from the glass, papaya and green banana. Very juicy on the palate, with taut fruit, slightly creamy undertones, a mineral background, a taut but fine tannic grip and vital acidity.
