The white wine »500 Tonneau« Weißburgunder trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Ökonomierat Johannes Kleinmann has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
The nose is still somewhat characterised by the ageing in oak, alongside ripe pineapple and apricot, rather restrained aromas. Powerful and firm on the palate with good extract, savouriness and ripe acidity. Competent use of wood, also noticeable residual sweetness. To go with spicy food.
