The red wine Südtirol Lagrein Brenntal Riserva DOC, vintage 2012 from the winery Pfitscher has been rated in 2015 by Othmar Kiem with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Rich, sparkling ruby. Shows fine notes of blackberry on the nose, some wild raspberry, also sweet cherries, open and accessible. Blossoms beautifully on the palate, fine spicy notes, some cardamom and white pepper, then also beautifully ripe berry fruit, dense tannins, spicy components again on the finish.
