The red wine »Excellance« Lemberger, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Plag has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lemberger from the region Baden in Germany.
Concentrated and dense on the nose, sour cherries, light and dark wild berries, cassis, menthol, nougat chocolate, earthy and spicy notes. At the same time powerful and elegant on the palate, clear fruit and spice closely interwoven, fresh acidity, fine-grained tannins, dense, well-balanced, with potential for years to come.
