The red wine Heidrom Grand Reserve, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut R&A Pfaffl has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Weinviertel in Austria.
Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate bright rim. Black fruit nuances underlaid with dark nougat, gentle notes of cardamom, subtle hints of liquorice and fine oak. Juicy, complex, nuances of clove, dark nougat, with supporting tannins that still need time. It is mineral and persistent and will benefit from bottle ageing.
