The red wine Excellent Reserve, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut R&A Pfaffl has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Weinviertel in Austria.
Dark ruby, purple reflections, delicate bright rim. Ripe blackberry is underlaid with dark chocolate, some herbs, a hint of black cherry fruit, an attractive bouquet. Complex, juicy, balanced and round, dark berry confit, with sweet fruit. It is a taut food wine with good ageing potential.
