The white wine »Réserve« Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Riffel has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Clear medium yellow in colour. Some vanilla, smoke, pear and spice on the nose, but it's still rather restrained. There's good tension on the palate with a lively acidity, fine texture and herbal freshness from skillful use of wood. Elegantly structured and with good length, this is a food wine.
