The red wine Blauer Portugieser trocken im Barrique gereift, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Ritter has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blauer Portugieser from the region Nahe in Germany.
The announcement "matured in barriques" says it all. On the nose the wine is characterised by savoury coconut aromas. The cherry on the nose tends to recede into the background. On the palate the wood reveals itself through a sweet, tart note, but still remains elegant. The acidity is quite mild.
