The red wine Merlot Reserve, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Salzl – Seewinkelhof has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Aromas of ripe plums, black fruits of the forest and a hint of nougat, underlaid with notes of fresh orange zest. Complex, with nuances of dark chocolate, ripe tannins and notes of nougat on the finish. An approachable, full-bodied food wine.
