The white wine »Fuchs« Riesling trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Schätzel has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling
Naturally cloudy. The nose brings flor notes of yeast and sherry vinegar, almonds, apple skin, apricot, pear and a stony edge. On the palate it's lean and relaxed despite the immense power - it feels finely proportioned, with soft texture and complex, mineral and very cultivated phenolics. Undoubtedly shows the greatness of the site, in an unconventional manner.
