The red wine Bockenheim Spätburgunder, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Schloss Janson has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points.
Red cherries and raspberries in the fine fruity aroma, also strawberry alongside morello cherry, cinnamon blossom and clove. Pinot Noir with style, depth on the palate but a relaxed character, fine spice and minerality, well-groomed tannin. Bright and balanced acidity carries through to the finish, the fresh cherry fruit supported by rhubarb notes; a substantial Pinot.
