The nose initially has a hint of oak and yeast, behind which is a slightly balsamic fruit, red apple and dried orange peel. On the palate, the wine has a well-judged phenolic drive, firm acidity and a citric, still closed palate fruit. Good density - and a mineral foundation clearly characterised by the Keuper.
