The white wine Gündelbach Wachtkopf Grauburgunder S, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Sonnenhof has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauburgunder from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Present new wood also drips an intense fruit: blood orange, sweetened blueberry, honeydew melon and roasted chestnut. The palate radiates an extract-driven austerity, acidity and phenolics contrast with a slight sweetness, the strong alcohol is nevertheless well integrated, the wine has intact certain ageing potential and will mature to a mild fullness.
