The rosé wine »Sophia« Rosé trocken, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Sven Nieger has been rated in 2017 with 86 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Baden in Germany.
Very unique aroma, reductive, spicy, some paprika and caramel. On the palate, it is slightly creamy and generously fruity. Some CO2 initially provides freshness. The finish is somewhat tart, broad and reminiscent of cream candy.
More about the tastingReductive notes currently have priority, resulting in a fragrance of brioche, rosehip, sea buckthorn and dried strawberries. Can't deny its volume on the palate, suitable as a pointed accompaniment to food, less as a refreshment.
