The red wine »Cuvée CLS«, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut und Destillerie Bergkeller has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Lemberger, Spätburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Open and fruity nose: plum, stewed plums and elderberry, also red currant, pepper and blanched and skinned red bell pepper. The palate exerts a lot of drive with fine tannins, lively acid backbone provides freshness and makes you forget the elevated alcohol. The wine finishes with sweet fruit.
