The white wine Riesling Pechstein, Forst, vintage 2011 from the winery Weingut von Winning has been rated in 2012 with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Brilliant yellow fruit aromas, subtle smoky notes, vivid, transparent and precise, even if not as radically brilliant as in 2010. Enormous minerality on the palate, long-lasting, full of tension, with a dense texture, strongly salty, also tends towards weightiness, but remains balanced. Undoubtedly the strongest Pechstein of the vintage.
