The red wine Blaufränkisch Leithaberg DAC Großhöfleiner Ried Point, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Wagentristl has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Leithaberg in Austria.
It has a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate ochre rim. There are aromas of black cherry fruit, with a hint of liquorice, some minerality, and a lovely nougat note. On the palate it is taut and elegant, with fresh berry fruit, well-integrated tannins, a saltiness, and persistence. It still seems very youthful, and it has certain ageing potential.
