It has a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate ochre rim. There are aromas of black berry fruit, ripe cherry, orange zest, a hint of nougat, and with a dark minerality in the background. It is juicy, elegant, tightly woven, with firm well-integrated tannins, and an underlay of chalky minerality. It already shows good persistence, and it will benefit from bottle ageing.
