Tasting Notes
Day one: Floral, citrus and lemon blossom, a hint of black pepper. Tangerine. A hint of wood. The attack opens with present sweetness, then immediately leads into strong phenols and a stable, firm but not green acidity. A Riesling with core and depth, very young - unusually concentrated for the vintage. Day two: candy sugar, peach. The sweetness is even more pronounced on the palate, but it remains fine and is well integrated into the acidity and body. Much more open than yesterday. Day three: peppery, also slightly buttery, some gooseberry. Soft and broad, ripe acidity, good proportions, melted phenols, the sweetness very well integrated into melting and suppleness, charming with depth.
