Tasting from 15.02.2023: Ulrich Sautter

The aroma reveals the notes of ageing in wood barrels: subtle smoky yeast notes and a slightly toasty, not overly loud wood tone. The cereal-like varietal spice of the Chardonnay remains very recognisable. On the palate, the wine proves to be excellently proportioned: It has density and substance, a supporting acidity, and also enough fruit and texture to accompany powerful dishes.
