Tasting Notes
Apparently a twin to the sample winner - but since "Volkacher Kirchberg" is the name of a large vineyard, from a completely different vineyard (Obervolkacher Landsknecht). Comparatively "still" on the nose, some peach and restrained floral notes, with a yeasty (and slightly botrytized) spiciness. Quite sweet on the palate, strong alcohol, well-integrated acidity, "a wine with nerve and soul", according to one of the judges.
