The red wine Ried Kurzberg, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Zinniel has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Blaufränkisch from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Dark ruby garnet colour, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate brightening on the rim. Subtle noble wood savouriness, black heart cherries, dark berries, figs, candied orange zest. Juicy, good complexity and freshness, integrated tannins, blackberries on the finish, mineral and persistent, good ageing potential.
