The red wine Ried Kurzberg, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Zinniel has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Blaufränkisch from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Deep, dark, ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, notes of dark berry confit, hints of cardamom and chocolate, a touch of wood savouriness. Juicy, freshly structured and mineral, with a subtle touch of vanilla, notes of fig on the finish. A good food wine.
