The White Wine Pinot Gris, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Zur Dankbarkeit has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauburgunder from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Pale golden yellow, silver reflections. On the nose, notes of yellow tropical fruit, notes of ripe pear, hints of nougat and caramel, underlaid with subtle nuances of mango. Complex and juicy, subtle sweet fruit nuances and a touch of honey on the lingering finish along with subtle savoury wood notes. This wine can hide its muscularity quite well under the fruit expression, will benefit from bottle ageing.
