The sweet and dessert wine TBA No. 3 Traminer Nouvelle Vague, vintage 2004 from the winery Weinlaubenhof Kracher has been rated in 2006 with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gewürztraminer from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Tasting Notes
Strong golden yellow. Delicately smoky, fine orange zest, rose oil, perfect varietal characteristics. Powerful on the palate, fine wood spice, still needs some time to fully digest the wood. (From 2005, the Traminer will be matured in larger barrels in order to shed its somewhat too "French" character). Mineral and persistent, rose petals on the finish, this wine is still a long way from being ready to drink.
