Dark ruby garnet with an opaque core, purple reflections and a touch of edge brightening. Ripe blackberries and cassis, black cherries, a hint of nougat and caramel, and orange zest on the complex nose, along with a fine tobacco-like woody savouriness. Juicy and elegant, the palate has a chocolaty touch as well as ripe blackberry notes and well integrated tannins. The fruit-led finish lingers well, with a finely savoury note. Certain ageing potential.
