The Türk winery is located to the west of Vienna in the idyllic wine village of Stratzing im Kremstal, around six kilometres north of Krems. The roots of this renowned family business go back to the beginning of the 18th century. The current business location was acquired in 1836 and expanded from generation to generation. The main focus is on indigenous varieties, with Grüner Veltliner accounting for 75 percent.
The aim of the wine growing family is to produce wines that are rich in finesse, dense and lively, reflecting the Kremstal with its soils - loess and primary rock - and microclimates, through gentle vinification and maturation that emphasises the terroir and the character typical of the region.
Respect for nature and provenance is the premise. Instead of "making" the wine, it is allowed to develop. The winery has also been fully certified organic since 2025 - a consistent step in terms of sustainable quality and living responsibility. At a time when authenticity counts more than ever, the Türk winery sees it as its duty to show the world what Austrian wine - especially Grüner Veltliner - has to offer: individuality, complexity, depth and world class. A special insider tip are the often internationally awarded sweet wines, especially the ice wines.
