Exploring the Treasures of Piedmont

Advertorial
Wine
Italy

Piedmont is one of the world’s most renowned wine regions, shaped by UNESCO-listed landscapes, native grape varieties and centuries-old winemaking traditions.

Piedmont is one of the world’s great wine regions, where UNESCO-listed landscapes, native grape varieties and centuries-old traditions come together to create wines of exceptional quality and character.

Representing this heritage is “Vignaioli Piemontesi”, the largest winegrowers’ association in the region, committed to promoting Piedmont’s wine culture and supporting wineries in enhancing the value of their appellations and territories.

The journey begins in the Langhe, home to iconic wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco. Here, wineries including “Cantina Terre del Barolo”, “Montaribaldi”, “Pecchenino”, “Vite Colte” and “Capetta Vini” showcase the richness of a territory where Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Moscato express their finest qualities.

In nearby Roero, “Tenuta Carretta” represents a land renowned for the elegance of Nebbiolo and the freshness of Arneis, cultivated on distinctive sandy soils that contribute to the uniqueness of its wines.

Monferrato, the homeland of Barbera, embodies the convivial spirit of Piedmont. “Cantina Tre Secoli”, one of the region’s leading cooperatives, preserves a strong connection between wine, tradition and local communities.

Further south, the hills of Gavi and Tortona are celebrated for outstanding white wines. “Castellari Bergaglio” and “La Mesma” highlight the elegance of Cortese through Gavi DOCG, while “La Colombera” and “Cantine Volpi” tell the story of Timorasso, an ancient native grape variety that has become one of Italy’s most exciting white wines.

Together, these wineries express the diversity, authenticity and excellence that make Piedmont a global benchmark for wine, where people, landscapes and traditions remain deeply connected.
