The red wine »S« Assmannshausen Pinot Noir trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Bischöfliches Weingut Rüdesheim GmbH has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Rheingau in Germany.
The aroma reveals a relatively intense use of new wood, but also sweet fruit: rosehip and heart cherry, red fruit jelly and also some elderberry. The palate is characterised by firm, somewhat tart tannins, lively acidity reinforces the impression of sinewiness, but there is also enough juicy fruit for balance.
