Tasting Notes
Complex bouquet with lots of warm dark fruit. Dried plum, blackberry, redcurrant and sour cherry. In addition, a hint of cocoa and sweet tobacco as well as Christmas spices. Supple onset, powerful yet elegant in its unique way, lots of dark, dried berry fruit, fine-grained, polished tannins, sour cherry, long, mineral-savoury finish, and marked by lovely ripe acidity.
More about the tastingDark ruby with purple reflections and a broad watery rim. A hint of After Eight, hints of mint and eucalyptus, delicate notes of candied violets: an intense bouquet that opens up well. Powerful palate with dark-berry fruit, savoury tannins that are still somewhat vivid and chalky-mineral touches. A taut style that will certainly benefit from further bottle ageing.
