The red wine Freyburg Edelacker Blauer Zweigelt trocken Barrique, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Bernard Pawis has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points.
A dark cherry red in colour. On the nose: sour cherry, new wood, blueberry compote, yeasty undertones. In the mouth there are mellow yet dense tannins, fleshy and grainy with its density nevertheless, not displacing the fruit. This is a very well extracted red wine, full of character, which will benefit greatly from a few years of bottle age.
