Tasting Notes
It has a deep garnet colour, with purple reflections, and a broad ochre rim. There are lovely red berry aromas nuances, some delicate liquorice, a hint of fine oak, and a pleasant multi-faceted spiciness. It is complex, with a lovely fruity sweetness, nuances of blackberry and black cherry, supporting tannins, minerality, good length, red berry on the finish, and a salty aftertaste, and small amounts of Blaufränkisch and Cabernet lend additional structure. It has certain further ageing potential.
