The red wine Zweigelt Ried Hallebühl, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Umathum has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Zweigelt from the region Burgenland in Austria.
It has a deep garnet colour, with purple reflections, and a broad bright rim. There are aromas of dark berry fruit with a delicate savoury background, hints of black cherry and liquorice, pomelo zest, and a smoky minerality. On the palate it is taut, tightly woven, with juicy cherry fruit, ripe tannins, a fresh structure, red berry nuances, a salty finish, and good persistence. It has definite ageing potential.
