Directly on steep vineyards, the terrace offers spots in the sun and shade. Young winemaker Stefan stands for fresh and fruity wines, accompanied by popular classics such as the daily freshly roasted brisket according to grandma's recipe. The desserts are also a hit.
The winery covers all pleasures: excellent wines, fine dining and cozy rooms. In the afternoon, casual Heurigen cuisine delights. Fresh cheese ravioli, polenta with gammel, bacon or spare ribs from the wool pig, the cheese plate delights with no less than seven varieties.
Stefan and Bernhard Schauer create wines that are a joy to drink with their interplay of acidity and aromas. The Brettljause is a highlight, and other delicacies such as roast meat, venison, smoked fish, vegan dishes and regional cheeses make the day perfect.
In the orchard or the Kellerstöckl, you will be spoiled with roast pork fat from the home-made roast pork, a rich cheese platter and, above all, the lady of the house's succulent red wine cake. The aromatic, fruity wines are also the result of careful work.
Pictures by Dieter Firmenich hang on the wall, and the plates feature gastronomic works of art such as baked onion dumplings with bacon and cabbage salad. The glasses are filled with salty, tangy, mineral wines. The home-made gin and the view of the vineyard are also tempting.
This place is simply a dream: up on a ridge, surrounded by steep vineyards. Only regional products and homemade delicacies are served, including specialties from Zebu beef and Iberico pork from Styrian husbandry.
The view is considered one of the most beautiful in southern Styria. The rooms radiate warmth, a special attraction is the stylishly integrated tree press from 1932. Typical snacks, cheese variations and fluffy pastries will delight you. Very good wines.
A relaxed overnight stay in paradise above steep vineyards. Mature Styrian classics are very important to the family business. The menu includes homemade sausages with Verhackert and horseradish, snacks and beetle bean salad and doughnuts for the finale.
The Schilcher matures to perfection on the steep slopes of this picturesque region, and the white wines are also top-notch. In the shady vine arbor you can enjoy smoked meat, salami and rack of pork, the Sterzterrrine is a hit. Another highlight: a picnic in the vineyard.
Puristically charming wines, which impress with their precision, can be tasted in the cozy Buschenschank under the wine arbor. Bread and pastries are baked fresh daily. Sausage and raw ham come from the farm's own free-range pigs.
Guests can choose from three gastronomic themes: Fans of Buschenschank classics order the Dreisiebner-Stammhaus platter. The gourmet menu with up to seven courses is perfect for the discerning diner. The wine tasting combines wines from light and young to special vineyard wines.
A romantic place with a centuries-old tradition, where you can spend the night amidst steep vineyards. Michael Lorenz stands for wines that are not oriented towards the mainstream. If you're hungry, there are snacks, sheep's cheese with pumpkin seed pesto or farmer's salad.
The sisters share a passion for herbs, gastronomy and agriculture. In addition to violet cordial, herbal vinegar and pumpkin seed liqueur, guests can enjoy lovingly packed picnic baskets, delicious snacks and special salads with edible flowers.
Relaxation is the order of the day: on the loungers or on the sun terrace with a fantastic view of the South Styrian vineyards. The snack platters are served with our own products or ingredients from the surrounding area. The desserts change daily.
Modern winery with well-balanced top wines, served with fine cured ham from the Vulkanland region or smoked trout. The Kübelfleisch and Brettljause are more hearty. In winter, it's really cozy in the rustic parlour with its tiled stove.
The farm has a small farm with zebu cattle and pigs. The quiet location on a hill means that the rooms are also very popular. They make their own kernel oil and brandies, and offer zebu beef specialties and spreads.
The organic vineyards are surrounded by forest and orchards, and the careful treatment of nature is reflected in the savoury wines. They are lovingly served with "three kinds of tomato" or marinated roasted vegetables. Creative desserts.
An institution for decades! In summer, you will find yourself in a blooming oasis at the most beautiful gastronomic spot in Styria. A wide range is on offer: hearty, home-smoked food, light dishes and, of course, a vegan selection.
Quality in the bottle is guaranteed with the award-winning wines such as the Gelber Muskateller, they have character and finesse. Heidi, the charming hostess, serves classic dishes such as the richly topped Brettljause, and you should also try the crispy Strauben.
Gneiss and slate soils give the wine a special minerality. In addition to traditional dishes such as Brettljause and beetle bean salad, light cuisine has also found its way here. There are various wild herb and bread variations, Sulzerl or fish.
