Bauer Palazzo Hotel in Venice Gets a Makeover
Bauer Palazzo in the heart of Venice is one of the lagoon city's most luxurious hotels. From November, the historic house will be remodelled – with a comprehensive redesign.
Enjoy the sunset with an aperitivo and Venetian cicchetti on the Grand Canal: The lagoon city in the north of Italy is characterised by a vibrant cultural quarter and historic buildings and also offers a variety of events that make a city break attractive. One of the city's flagships is without a doubt the Bauer Palazzo, located directly on the canal. The five-star hotel opened in 1880 and, thanks to its location near St. Mark's Square, is the ideal starting point for any activities. From 1 November, the historic house will be closed for two and a half years for renovations.
Complete redesign
The hotel is undergoing a "complete redesign" in the hands of architect Alberto Torsello and BAR Studio interior designers. During extensive renovation, great care will be taken with the historic building – for example, the iconic façade and the interior staircase are being restored.
Culinary delights with a view over Venice
Another highlight will be Bauer Palazzo's future gastronomic offerings. Guests can look forward to a bistro, wine bar with a delicatessen, bar directly on the Grand Canal as well as a fine-dining restaurant and a cocktail bar on the seventh floor of the building. The eighth floor also offers an equally brilliant view of Venice, with an outdoor pool, garden and another bar.
