Maison Mumm has introduced the Mumm Kraft Box with a new eco-friendly design for its iconic Mumm Cordon Rouge cuvée.
In recent years, Champagne houses, in the past often guilty of elaborate and wasteful packaging, have come up with more sustainable and eco-friendly solutions to show their commitment to the sustainability. Now one of the world's largest Champagne houses, G.H. Mumm, has introduced a new special, eco-designed gift box for its iconic Mumm Cordon Rouge cuvée.
The so-called Mumm Kraft Box is distinguished by the selection of paper, 93% of which is made from recycled material. It does away with plastic and yet guarantees durability and solidity, it also is 100% recyclable and reduces the use of inks.
The new giftbox is one of the house's commitments to minimise its environmental impact. In 2016, the entire Mumm vineyard obtained the double certification for Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne and High Environmental Value (HVE). The House also implemented a zero herbicide policy on its own plots in 2020.
