Fortnum & Mason’s new Coronation Collection – comestibles fit for a king (and queen)

The historic store in London’s Piccadilly comes up trumps with everything you need for a right royal celebration.

That most fabulously British of institutions, Fortnum & Mason, has launched a new collection in celebration of the forthcoming coronation of their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The self-styled World's Most Famous Cornershop was founded in 1707 and has been serving well-healed Londoners and flocks of international visitors ever since. Granted Royal Warrants by the late HM the Queen and the then HRH Prince of Wales, the store has had a long association with the British Royal Family.

To mark the forthcoming occasion at Westminster Abbey on Saturday May 6, the shop is offering a new collection of top-notch food, drink and gifts that matches tradition, design flair and their buyers’ usual eye for the delicious. And of course there are special hampers to be had too.

The collection comes with impeccable design credentials courtesy of three specially commissioned British artists who have looked to the pageantry of royal occasions past and present as well as drawing inspiration from across the flag-waving commonwealth. There’s even a web page dedicated to the stories behind the development of the exclusive range – Fortnum’s really are getting royally excited about it all.

If you can’t make it down to Piccadilly or one of their other stores (Heathrow, St Pancras International and the Victoria Dockside in Hong Kong for example) then UK and international delivery is but a click away. Hip, hip, hooray indeed!
