“Noma” Heads to Los Angeles for a 16-Week Residency
Copenhagen’s legendary “Noma” is heading west. This spring, René Redzepi and his team will bring their visionary Nordic cuisine to Los Angeles for a 16-week residency that explores the spirit, ingredients, and landscapes of Southern California.
This spring, the culinary world’s eyes turn to Los Angeles as Copenhagen’s famed Noma embarks on a 16-week residency running from March 11 to June 26, 2026. Chef René Redzepi and his team will create an evolving menu shaped by Southern California’s landscape—the Pacific Ocean, the mountains, the desert, and everything in between.
The residency will include a Noma Projects pop-up shop in Silver Lake, a series of MAD collaborations and community events, and a special film project documenting the creative process behind the residency. As always, the team plans to cook, listen, and learn—drawing inspiration from local producers, ingredients, and traditions while infusing them with their distinctive Nordic imagination.
Reservations for Noma LA open on Monday, January 26 at 9 a.m. PST. Those subscribed to Noma’s newsletter will receive early access links on January 23. For Los Angeles, this marks not only a rare chance to experience Noma outside Denmark but also a dialogue between two dynamic food cultures at the height of their creativity.
