The Menu will launch on November 18

The horror comedy movie starring Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy shows the dark sides of the gourmet menu at a posh island restaurant.

Suppose you can’t take a joke when it comes to gourmet food. In that case, you'd better avoid this film: The Menu is a horror comedy with a star-studded ensemble, including Ralph Fiennes, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, and John Leguizamo, the movie shown in cinemas from November 18.

New trailers, recently released, should certainly whet the appetite for the film even more, and despite the chic design of the restaurant, things don't seem to be going quite as planned: “We are leaving!” one guest announces in the new trailer called ‘Left Hand, Ring Finger’, as staff take a hands-on approach to a difficult customer. The Menu was directed by Mark Mylod, the man behind HBO series Succession, and it has been produced by Searchlight Pictures, a subsidiary of Walt Disney Studios, which boasts a back catalogue of films including Slumdog Millionaire, Birdman and Jojo Rabbit.

The movie was shown at the Toronto Film Festival and has been praised by critics. Filming took place in Savannah, Georgia, USA, among other places, with the island scenes shot on Tybee Island in the same state.
