Transsilvanien – Siebenbürgen

The high plateau of Transylvania produces mainly white wine. At 460 metres above sea level Transylvania sits like an island in the centre of Romania. Realtively high rainfall and a cool climate results in crisper fresher white wines than elsewhere from this country. Jidvei, the wine-growing region is located east of Alba Iulia.
