Giovan Battista Burlotto founded the winery in the second half of the 19th century. At a time when wines in the Langhe were still marketed in demijohns or barrels, he bottled them. Burlotto has remained a family business in which all phases of production (total production approx. 90,000 bottles) are supervised by Marina Burlotto, great-granddaughter of the Commendatore, assisted by her husband and two children. The vineyard covers 17 hectares and is located in the municipality of Verduno, but also has vineyards in Roddi, Barolo and Monforte.
