The core competence of the viticultural and cellar management experimental activities is supported – in the sense of a model operation of the South Tyrolean wine industry – by the in-house production of high-quality wines. All grapes used for these wines come from the estate's own vineyards, which cover approximately 20 hectares in various locations at altitudes ranging from 200 to 750 metres and feature diverse soil types. The 100,000 bottles of Laimburg quality wine – which has received numerous awards at expert tastings – fall into two wine lines: the "Estate Wines," varietally typical and aged in stainless steel tanks, and the "Castle Selection," aged in oak barrels.
